James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Mountain Home, TN

 

Scope: BES Design/Build, LLC (BES D/B) provided design/build services to renovate approximately 27,000 SF of existing space on the 1st floor of Building 162 at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center.

BES D/B demolished the existing 1st floor nursing station and built 6 single nurse stations throughout the corridors. We also converted an administrative office into a reception center and renovated 2 existing rooms into a common space for residents; the space also serves as a guest reception area. The restrooms were also renovated to meet ADA requirements.

BES D/B painted the resident rooms and corridor and replaced the flooring material as needed. The sinks, mirrors and vanity lights in the resident rooms were all replaced. BES D/B replaced all floor VCT tiles and ceiling tiles on the first main corridors. All corridor lighting was replaced with energy efficient light sets T5.
